COVID-19 Update for Patients
As we continue to adapt to changes which have been necessary as a result of the Coronavirus outbreak, some will be aware of how differently we have been working to care for our patients.
However, many patients may not have needed to contact us so we wanted to provide a brief update on how we will be operating in the Practice moving forward.
Unfortunately normal booking of appointments and a full face to face service is not possible at present. Due to all the COVID restrictions, it is too dangerous to simply revert back to how we had worked. However, we want patients to know that we are very much open for business and anyone who is sick should make contact with the Medical Centre via telephone leaving details. Please avoid coming to the premises unless it is absolutely necessary.
The GP/Nurse on duty will assess all patients, with various possible outcomes including prescribing for the patient, undertaking a telephone or a video consultation or if it is clinically appropriate and safe to do so will be offered a face to face appointment with the GP or appropriate health care professional.
Repeat and Acute prescriptions can continue to be ordered in the normal way via telephone or using or online services.
Overall it is very important that you contact us if you have any health concerns or questions and even more important, not to ignore or put off any medical advice that is given to you.
We would like to thank all our patients for their patience and understanding through what has been and still remains an extremely difficult time for everyone. We will endeavour to continue to provide all our patients with the right service to meet their need.
